ANDERSON, S.C. – Omar Figueroa scored 27 points and led four Flagler College players in double figures in a 118-112 overtime loss to Anderson University in a Southeast Region Crossover Tournament game Saturday afternoon at the Abney Athletic Center.

This was the season opener for both teams. Flagler takes on Southern Wesleyan University tomorrow at 2 p.m. to wrap up the tournament.

The game featured 13 ties and four lead changes. With 1:09 left in regulation, Cole Middleton of Anderson made a layup to knot the score at 96. Both teams traded free throws the rest of the way resulting in a 99-all tie.

In overtime, Luke Denbow's three-pointer with 1:43 left gave the Trojans its first lead (108-107) since the 4:10 mark in the first half.

A Destin Clark layup with one minute left in overtime tied the game at 110, but Anderson closed the extra session on an 8-2 run.
