HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Flagler College women's cross country team finished 3rd at the UAH Chargers XC Invitational on Saturday morning finishing ahead of four nationally ranked teams.
The Saints sent seven runners to compete at John Hunt Park on the 5-kilometer course and leading for Flagler was junior Monique Whiteman finishing 12th with a time of 17:56.30. Megan Churchill (18:04.0), Monika Kubai (18:09.0) and Abby Misch (18:09.8) rounded out the top 25 for the Saints, placing 20th, 24th and 25th, respectively. The next to finish was sophomore Chloe Smith, right behind the pack at 26th with a time of 18:10.7. Enola Savel (18:23.2) and Clemence Treguer (18:54.1) were the final Saints to finish in 36th and 68th.
Flagler finished ahead of three nationally ranked teams, #18 University of Charleston, #19 Mississippi College and #30 Catawba College (USTFCCCA). The Saints also finished in front of regional opponents Anderson, Lincoln Memorial and Augusta.
The Saints return to the course on Oct. 13 at the SSC Preview Meet in Lakeland, Fla.
