ROME, Ga. – Flagler College's
Baptiste Mercier was back out on the court hours after winning the ITA Cup Division II men's singles title. He faced the junior college champion, Jean-Baptiste Badon from Glendale Community College, this afternoon for the right to move on to tomorrow's ITA Cup Super Bowl final at the Rome Tennis Center.
Badon defeated Mercier 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 and will play the winner of the other semifinal tomorrow at 9 a.m.
The Super Bowl round combines the winners from the Division II, Division III, NAIA, and junior college brackets.
