AUGUSTA, Ga.-Flagler College's
Monique Whiteman was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Week for the first time in her career, released by conference officials on Tuesday.
Whiteman, a sophomore transfer from University of Mount Olive, secured a new personal best time while at the Florida State University XC Open on Oct. 7. Whiteman crossed the finish line of the 5k course at 18:14.6 to secure 24
th on the 299-man field. The Bulls, New Zealand native ran an average 5:52.3 mile.
Whiteman piloted the Saints pack to a sixth-place finish among 30 teams.
Next, Flagler will travel to the University of South Florida Invitational on Oct. 14 in Tampa, Florida.
