NEW ORLEANS, La. —
The United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) tabbed the Flagler College women's cross country team fourth in the southeast region, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Saints held steady following a solid showing last weekend in Tallahassee when they competed in the FSU XC Open. As a team, Flagler finished in 14th out of the 29 teams that ran the 6k course. That was good enough to beat out multiple NCAA Division I programs including Florida International University, Stetson University, University of South Florida and Florida Gulf Coast.
Individually, the first Crimson and Gold singlets to cross the finish line was freshman
Therese Schuhenn, who continues to impress during her first year at the collegiate level, finishing in 10th when removing Division I runners, with a final time of 25:05.4.
The Saints race again this upcoming Saturday, September 25
th when they travel to Daytona Beach to compete in the Embry-Riddle XC Classic, which will see Flagler tackle a 5k.
