AUGUSTA, Ga. – No. 21 (NABC Division II Top 25) Flagler College got a combined 43 points from
Jaizec Lottie and
Chase Fiddler in an 82-52 rout of Augusta University in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Flagler extended its winning streak to eight games and improved to 10-2 overall and 8-1 in the Peach Belt. Augusta dropped to 6-5 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
"I am thankful for assistant coaches (Blake) Selland and (Kip) Owens for the job they are doing with our team," said head coach
Chad Warner. "Our team played together today and a lot of people contributed. As I have said, we have such a long way to go and all we can do is keep our heads down and work hard."
Both teams were cold in the first half as Flagler took a 27-20 lead into the break.

Spencer Bain three-pointer started a 10-1 run early in the second half for the Saints. The lead would swell to as many as 30 late in the game before settling on that same number as the horn sounded.
Lottie poured in 23 points, grabbed six rebounds, tallied four assists, and collected three steals. He made 8-of-10 from the free throw line. Fiddler scored a season-high 20 points, coming off the bench, as he made 8-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-8 from three-point range.
Chris Metzger chipped in with eight points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
Derrick Ellis, Jr. tacked on eight points and dished out five assists.
The Saints blistered the nets in the second half making 57.6 percent of their shots. Flagler was deadly from long range too sinking 8-of-11 in the final 20 minutes.
Augusta turned the ball over 16 times, which led to 23 Flagler points.
Tyree Myers led the Jaguars with 16 points. Darren Lucas-White added 14.
Flagler visits Lander University on Wednesday (Feb. 17) at 7:30 p.m. at Greenwood, South Carolina.
NOTE: This was Flagler's second win at Christenberry Fieldhouse. The last time the Saints won in Augusta was Jan. 17, 2013 (73-70). The 30-point loss for Augusta was its worst loss at home since it lost to Presbyterian College 91-57 on Nov. 20, 1995. It was the program's worst loss since a 90-58 drubbing at Georgia Southern University on Nov. 26, 2005.
