OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Finishing on the right foot.
 
The final day at the ITA Indoor Championship couldn't have gone better as the No. 14-ranked Flagler men's tennis team capped a three-match stay on the winning side behind a 4-1 victory over host Midwestern State University at the OKC Center Sunday morning.
 
"I hope this win gives us confidence, which is the part we are missing the most," Director of Tennis and men's head coach Thomas Hipp said. "We play well but lose confidence easy and play down to weaker opponents.
 
"We play Concordia on Tuesday, which will be another tough match. Hopefully the confidence will help!"
 
As Hipp noted, the Saints (2-5) welcome No. 16-ranked Concordia for a mid-week matchup Tuesday, beginning at noon at the Flagler Tennis Center.
 
Flagler began its final day the same way as Saturday with a doubles point. The duo of Rodrigo Carvalho/Tommaso Bagon was unbeatable as they took a 6-0 victory, and then Luca Bolla and Jiri Jenicek took the 7-6 (7-0), tie-breaking win to secure the point.
 
In singles, Bolla and Jenicek took the doubles momentum as they won their singles matches with Bolla taking down the No. 5-ranked individual and Jenicek winning in straight-sets. Felipe Carvalho had his best day of the three-match weekend as he won in consective sets to cap the victory.
