Jessie Mescal of the women's cross country team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Nov. 1.

Mescal finished in second place with a career-best time of 18:18 at the University of North Georgia/Peach Belt Conference Preview last Saturday at Oakwood, Georgia. She was one of three Saints to finish in the top five as Flagler edged out North Georgia for the title. This was Mescal's second consecutive top five finish. She finished in third place at the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 17).

Mescal and the Saints will look to defend their 2018 and 2019 titles at the PBC Championships, at the same location, on Nov. 14.
