COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Flagler College men's cross country team cracked the Division II National Coaches' Poll at No. 15, which was released Wednesday.
The Saints also received eight points and tied West Texas A&M University for the 15
th spot on the poll.
For the second consecutive week, Flagler trails Augusta in the Peach Belt Conference ranking. The Jaguars took the top spot.
The Colorado School of Mines took over the top spot and collected all seven of the first-place votes. Western Colorado University is in second place followed by Adams State University, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Augusta.
The Saints were idle last week, but will compete in the Sand Shark Invitational on Oct. 17 at Hardeeville, South Carolina.
NOTE: The rankings are only for the leagues, and the teams, who are sponsoring cross country this fall. The leagues are the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference, Gulf South Conference, Lone Star Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, Peach Belt Conference, and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
