FLORENCE, S.C. – Flagler College scored the game's first 23 points in route to a 94-64 romp over Francis Marion University in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Smith University Center.
Flagler (9-9 overall, 5-5 PBC) made seven 3-pointers in that burst out of the gate and finished the first half with 12 treys and shot 70.6 percent from long range.
The Saints finished with an overall field goal percentage of .500 (32-64) and shot the same from 3-points range (17-34).
Allante Pickens led six Saints in double figures with 17 points. He made 5-of-7 from long range.
Gedi Juozapaitis added 16 points and six rebounds while
Alex Pantelic came off the bench to score a season-high 14 points and added five rebounds.
Chris Metzger supplied 11 points, nine rebounds, and five assists while
Logan Swackhammer chipped in with 11 points.
Damir Hadzic contributed 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
The Saints grabbed a season-high 49 rebounds. Out of the 11 players that played in the game, only two did not get a rebound.
Winston Hill came off the bench to score a game-high 28 points and he grabbed 11 rebounds for Francis Marion (3-14, 2-8).
Up next for Flagler is a road game against Clayton State University on Wednesday (Jan. 29) at 7:30 p.m.
