SUMTER, S.C. – Members of the Flagler College women's team competed this weekend at the prestigious ITA Southeast Region Championship at the Palmetto Tennis Center.

Eden Schlagenhauf advanced all the way to the singles finals, a first in the NCAA Division II era of Flagler tennis. She posted a 5-1 record and will wait to see if she receives an at-large berth to the ITA Cup, which will be held Oct. 17-20 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.

Anika Nissen and Lixin Wang both went 3-1 at the regional tournament in singles. Paloma Martinez and Alessandra Traub advanced to the semifinal round. They finished with a 3-1 record.
