AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College junior
Marcus Graham was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Runner of the Week for the period ending Sept. 15, as released today by conference officials.
Graham is the first Flagler men's runner to earn the weekly award since
Corey Mundy who received the accolade on Oct. 28, 2014.
Graham finished in 13
th place at the massive Mountain Dew Gator Invitational hosted by the University of Florida on Saturday. The Bristow, Indiana native covered the 8K distance in 26:13.4, less than a minute off the lead time. He finished ahead of 290 other runners and helped the Saints to an impressive fifth-place finish in the 31-team field. Flagler finished ahead of DI institutions such as South Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Troy and Florida Atlantic. Graham's 8K time is the fastest in the PBC so far this season.
The Saints will be idle this week to prepare for the Queen City Invitational (Sept. 27) at Charlotte, North Carolina.
