Saints knock off No. 16 Tars

WINTER PARK, Fla.– Flagler College rolled to a 5-2 win over No. 16 (Oracle/ITA Division II Top 25) Rollins College in a non-conference women's tennis match Wednesday afternoon at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex.

Flagler snapped a two-match losing streak to improve to 3-4. Rollins fell to 4-3 as it has lost its last three-of-four matches.

The Saints opened the day by winning all three doubles matches. It was Anika Nissen and Lixin Wang's win at No. 3 that clinched the point for Flagler.

Wang won her singles match in straight sets, but Rollins took the point at No. 6 singles to get back into the match at 2-1. Nissen won in straight sets and then Eden Schlagenhauf clinched the match with her 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 win over Ola Durzynski at No. 2. Felicitas Runkel posted a win at No. 1 singles.
 
Flagler takes on Concordia College of New York on Friday (March 8) in Orlando, Florida at 3 p.m.
