COLUMBUS, Ga. – No. 3 (Oracle/ITA Division II ranking) Columbus State University defeated No. 6 Flagler College 7-0 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Saturday afternoon at the Walden Tennis Complex.
Columbus State extended its winning streak to nine matches and improved to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler lost its second consecutive match and dropped to 9-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Cougars pocketed the doubles point by winning the first two doubles matches 6-2 and 7-5.
Columbus State clinched the match by winning the first three singles matches, which included two matches that paired nationally ranked players. No. 39 Alvaro Regalado defeated No. 57
Luca Bolla 6-2 and 6-3 while top-ranked KP Pannu bested No. 75
Lukas Storck 6-4 and 6-3. The latter clinched the match.
Flagler wraps up its road trip at Georgia Southwestern State University tomorrow (March 24) at 1 p.m.
