ST. AUGUSTINE– No. 3 (Oracle/ITA Division II Top 25) Saint Leo University defeated Flagler College 7-0 in a non-conference women's tennis match Thursday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Saint Leo improved to 4-1 while Flagler dropped to 2-3.

The Lions won Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, 6-2, to earn the team point. However, Flagler's Alessandra Traub and Paloma Martinez were able to defeat the ninth-ranked tandem of Kristyna Jurkova and Nina Furmaniak, 7-5.

Saint Leo won three singles matches in straight sets to clinch the match.

Flagler hosts No. 4 Lynn University on Sunday Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
