Southern Wesleyan downs Flagler, 90-75

ST. AUGUSTINE – Quin Nottingham poured in a game-high 34 points as Anderson University topped Flagler College 90-75 in a non-conference men's basketball game Saturday night at Flagler Gymnasium. The game was the final contest of the Southeast Region Crossover Tournament. Southern Wesleyan University defeated Lander University 87-85 in the earlier game.

Nottingham made 13-of-19 from the field and added five assists.

Anderson (1-1 overall) used a 14-4 run late in the game to pull away from Flagler (1-1). Nottingham started the run with a pull-up jumper with 7:47 left to give the Trojans a 66-61 lead. Josh Livingston capped the run with a 3-pointer to give Anderson a 78-65 advantage. Livingston finished with 17 points and he grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.

Shawn Benard scored 16-of-his-19 points in the second half for Anderson.

The Trojans shot 59.5 percent (22-37) from the field in the second half.

Derrick Ellis, Jr. led the Saints with 23 points and seven assists. Gedi Juozapaitis and Damir Hadzic finished with 13 points apiece. Juozapaitis also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Allante Pickens came off the bench to add 10 points.
 
Flagler faces an old NAIA foe in Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Tuesday (Nov. 12) at 7 p.m. at Daytona Beach, Florida.
