AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College senior Kayla McManama along with sophomores Reagan Bush, Jessie Mescal, and Lindsey Williams, were named to the Peach Belt Conference Women's Cross Country Team of Academic Distinction (formerly the All-Academic Team), which was released this afternoon by conference officials.

To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and either be a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution.

McManama earns her third academic honor. She is a journalism and media production major. She posted a p.r. 5K time of 18:37 at the Queen City Invitational (Sept. 27). McManama is a three-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar.

Bush is a finance major and earns her first academic award. She recorded a season-best 5K time of 20:29 at the Queen City Invitational (Sept. 27). Bush received the PBC Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar award over the summer.

Mescal is a strategic communications/public relation major at Flagler. She has a season-best 5K time of 19:20, which was recorded at the Queen City Invitational (Sept. 27). She was a member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholars.

Williams is an English major. Her top time in a 5K race this season was a 19:23 at the Queen City Invitational (Sept. 27). She was on the PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar list.

The Flagler women's cross country team will compete in the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Oct. 26 at Lumberton, North Carolina.
