AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College sophomore
Connor Norton was named to the Peach Belt Conference's Men's Cross Country Team of Academic Distinction (formerly All-Academic), which was released this afternoon by conference officials.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and either be a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams.
Norton is a marketing major at Flagler. He ran a season-best time of 26:30.5 at the Lewis Crossover (Oct. 12) 8K. Norton was an all-conference runner last year.
The Flagler men's cross country team will participate in the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Oct. 26 at Lumberton, North Carolina.
