ST. AUGUSTINE – For the second consecutive game

Tabitha Odabe each recorded a double-double as Flagler College knocked off No. 22 (WBCA Division II Top 25) University of North Georgia 74-70 in overtime in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Monday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium. Also, head coach
Erika Lang-Montgomery recorded her 100th career victory at the helm of the Saints program.
Flagler improved to 10-5 overall and 6-3 in the Peach Belt. The last time a Saints team defeated a top 25 program was Jan. 4, 2014 vs. Clayton State (74-63), who was ranked No. 7 at the time. North Georgia had its four-game winning streak snapped and fell to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in conference play.
"This was a big win for our program," said Lang-Montgomery. "I'm so proud of our team effort today as well as for believing and fighting to the finish. They played their guts out and I am happy we came out on the positive side. Tabitha and Chris continue to be a force inside.
Ivana Boyd gave us some quality minutes. She is our energizer."
Wilson scored a team-high 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Saints. She made 9-of-her-11 from the field and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Odabe added 18 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to along with eight blocked shots.
With 20 seconds remaining in regulation, Wilson sank a pair of free throws to give the Saints a 64-62 lead.
However, Vanessa Agrusa's layup with five seconds left knotted the game at 64.
The Saints opened the extra session with an 8-2 run to pull away from the Nighthawks. Wilson scored the first four points of the overtime period.
Ivana Boyd scored a season-high 16 points and corralled seven rebounds.
Tamera Tharpe led North Georgia with a game-high 28 points and she added six rebounds. Agrusa added 13 points and eight rebounds while Abbie Franklin tallied 10 points.
Flagler heads out on the road to face Georgia Southwestern State University on Wednesday (Jan. 23) at 5:30 p.m.
