MELBOURNE, Fla. – Per Henrik Nag scored a pair of goals to lead Florida Tech to a 6-1 win over Flagler College in a non-conference men's soccer match Tuesday night at Rick Stottler Field.
Florida Tech remains undefeated with a 4-0-0 record and Flagler moved to 1-3-0.
Nag scored his third goal of the season, in the 19
th minute, when he headed in Craig McCall's cross that hit the crossbar. That gave Florida Tech a 2-0 advantage.
He added an unassisted goal in the 80
th minute to cap all scoring.
Rodrigo Portillo (71') scored from inside the box off of a pass from just inside the midfield stripe.
Jason Fesquet tallied two saves for Florida Tech while
Iwan Roberts recorded nine saves.
Florida Tech out-shot Flagler 27-7, which included a 15-3 spread in shots on goal. The Panthers took 13 corner kicks to one by the Saints. Fouls were evenly distributed 11 apiece.
The Saints are back on the pitch next Tuesday (Sept. 18) at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with a 7 p.m. kick off.
