FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Sebastian Loibl recorded a hat trick to help lead Nova Southeastern University to a 5-0 win over Flagler College in a non-conference men's soccer match Tuesday night at the NSU Soccer Complex.
Nova Southeastern extended its win streak to six matches and improved to 6-1-0. Flagler fell to 1-4-0.
Loibl's first goal was off a corner kick by Jan Luca Ahillen that was headed by Darwin Lom to Loibl in the 30
th minute to give the Sharks a 2-0 lead.
His other two goals came within 32 seconds of each other in the 61
st minute.
Darwin Lom (25') and Curtis Thorn (82') had the other two goals for Nova Southeastern. Aleks Berg tallied two assists.
Oscar Davidson took two shots for Flagler with one on goal.
Titouan Le Roux turned in a clean sheet with three saves.
Iwan Roberts recorded three saves in the first half while
Mel Broughton added two more in the second half for the Saints.
The Sharks out-shot the Saints 15-7, which included a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. NSU held a 7-4 lead over Flagler in corner kicks.
Flagler opens up Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday (Sept. 22) against the University of North Georgia at 2 p.m. at Saints Field.
