AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken had four players record double-doubles in route to a 3-1 (15-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-15) win over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Friday night at the Convocation Center.
USC Aiken won its fourth match in a row to improve to 18-3 overall and 8-1 in the Peach Belt. Flagler dropped to 10-13 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
Alie Smith finished with a match-high 16 kills and she added 10 digs to lead the Pacers. Kayla Duggan added 12 kills and 18 digs while Alli Bell tallied 15 assists and 13 digs. Rebecca Martinez collected a match-high 34 digs and added 10 assists. Ali Kirk registered 26 assists.
Raquel Kulak led the Saints with 13 kills.
Karlie Redfern recorded her 10
th double-double of the season with 10 kills and 13 digs.
Tara Savisky notched her fifth double-double of the season with a match-high 31 assists and 10 digs.
Kayla Norelli paced the defense with 18 digs.
The 75 digs by the Saints was the second-highest amount this season.
Flagler held USC Aiken to a -.182 hitting percentage (nine kills and 15 errors on 33 swings) in the first set.
Flagler wraps up its regular season road slate tomorrow (Oct. 27) at Lander University at 2 p.m.
