ST. AUGUSTINE –
Raquel Kulak's match-high 17 kills and career-high nine total blocks were not enough as Augusta University edged Flagler College 3-1 (25-22, 19-25, 27-25, 28-26) in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
Augusta improved to 18-5 overall and 5-3 in the Peach Belt. Flagler fell to 10-12 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
Kulak finished with a .519 hitting percentage as she only had three errors on 27 swings.
Karlie Redfern recorded her ninth double-double this season with 15 kills and 11 digs.
Tara Savisky tallied 46 assists while
Kayla Norelli collected 14 digs.
Morgan Hall added eight kills and had two block assists.
McKenzey Beck recorded a triple-double with 14 kills, 22 assists and 10 digs. Savanna Gonzales added 11 kills and eight digs while Jessica Hedrick and Chloe Allen each contributed nine kills. Hedrick finished with seven total blocks. Cheryke Brian-Garmos tallied 24 assists and had three aces. Holland Martin paced the defense with a match-high 16 digs.
The match featured 32 ties and nine lead changes.
Flagler heads out on the road for the final time in the regular season. The Saints visit the University of South Carolina Aiken on Friday (Oct. 26) at 7 p.m.
