AMERICUS, Ga. –
Myiah Russack-Cradeur scored twice in the first half to help propel No. 12 Flagler College (United Soccer Coaches Top 25) past Georgia Southwestern State University, 4-0, at Hurricane Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Saints, who are off to their best start to a season in program history, improved their overall mark to 7-0-1 and Peach Belt Conference record to 2-0-1. The Hurricanes dropped their overall record to 0-6-0 and are 0-2-0 in conference play.
Russack-Cradeur's scored her pair of goals within the first 30 minutes of play, giving her six for the year, which is tied for the league lead.
Fio Fustagno and
Charlene Nowotny each added a goal before the half ended. Nowotny, Mc Bell,
Kaela Harmon and
Katie Reed each had an assist.
Flagler dominated Georgia Southwestern taking 28 shots while the Hurricanes mustered just one. Flagler also took nine corner kicks to Georgia Southwestern's one. Bri Reda took the lone shot for the Hurricanes and Sammie Conley made eight saves.
Maddison Lipson made the start in goal for Flagler and did not see a shot on goal.
Flagler will play the University of North Georgia on Saturday (Sept. 30) at 1 p.m. in Dahlonega.
