Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Saints fall to Sharks, 5-1

ST AUGUSTINE – Noel Johnson scored a pair of goals to help lead Nova Southeastern University to a 5-1 win over Flagler College in a non-conference men's soccer match Saturday night at Saints Field.
 
The Saints dropped their overall mark to 1-5-0. The Sharks evened their overall record to 2-2-0.
 
Darwin Lom got thing going for the Sharks early as he beat the last defender to put Nova Southeastern up just over six minutes into the first half.
 
Rostand Ndong slid a pass in the box for Quam Salami in the 12th minute and Salami scored the equalizer for his third goal in the last two games. Juan Membreno also had an assist on the play.
 
An own goal by the Saints in the 18th minute broke the tie before the Sharks scored three more times to lock up their 5-1 victory.  
 
Nova Southeastern took 17 shots, 11 of which came in the second half. Flagler countered with 12 shots. Iwan Roberts made six stops in goal for the Saints and Nico Rosiglioni made four saves for the Sharks.
 
Flagler was forced to play a man down for the second game in a row when Henrique Salomao was issued a red card just after the second half began.
 
Flagler will face Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus on Wednesday (Sept. 27) at 3:30 p.m.
