YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Flagler College dropped its Peach Belt Conference opener, 3-0, to Young Harris College Saturday night at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
The Saints fell to 1-3-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the Peach Belt. The Mountain Lions improved its overall mark to 4-1-1 and 1-0-0 in conference play.
Marco Micaletto opened the scoring for Young Harris with a goal to the right corner in the 10
th minute of the game.
Dani Fischer and Carlos Gomez added goals in the second half to secure the win.
Juan Membreno led the Flagler charge with four shots, two of which were on goal.
Alex Iglesias turned in a clean sheet for Young Harris. He made five saves, including four in the second half.
Mel Broughton made four saves for Flagler.
Flagler will open its 2017 home campaign on Wednesday (Sept. 20) at 7:30 p.m. at Saints Field against conference rival Lander University.
