Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – Sara Davis and Taja Valmyr combined to record 25 kills and helped lead Flagler College to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-8) sweep of Lander University Friday morning at Flagler Gymnasium. The gym was packed with groups of girls from several middle schools from around the area on "Education Day."

Flagler improved to 18-3 overall and 7-1 in the Peach Belt. Lander fell to 15-9 overall and 4-6 in conference play.

Davis recorded a match-high 14 kills and hit a career-best .737 having 19 errorless swings. She added three total blocks. Valmyr added 11 kills and hit .357 with one error on 28 swings. Karlie Redfern tacked on nine kills, hit .375, and added seven digs. Raquel Kulak returned to play in her first match since Sept. 2 and record three kills and added two blocks. Tara Savisky tallied 34 assists and collected nine digs. Kayla Norelli gathered a match-high 12 digs. Rachel Porada tied her career-high with five aces.

The Saints hit a season-best .411 with 44 kills and just seven errors on 90 swings.

Kirstin Martindale led the Bearcats with seven kills. Imari Ashley added five more. Sophia Perkins led Lander with nine digs and added seven assists. Nell Copeland tallied seven assists. The Bearcats were playing without their libero, Hannah MacManus. She is second in the PBC in digs per set and third in digs.

Flagler hosts Augusta University tomorrow (Nov. 4) at 2 p.m. on "Senior Day." The Saints will honor their two seniors, Valmyr and Davis, before the game.
