Rollins shuts out Flagler

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Drew Trautmann turned in his second clean sheet of the season as Rollins College defeated Flagler College 4-0 in a non-conference men's soccer match Saturday afternoon at the Barker Family Stadium at Cahall-Sandspur Field.

Rollins improved to 7-3-1 while Flagler dropped to 3-8-0. The Saints are 1-8-0, since 1996, at Rollins. The last victory (2-1) came Sept. 24, 1997.

Stefan Avram got the Tars on the board with his goal in the 38th minute. That score would hold going into the half.

Johnny Nartowicz converted a penalty kick in the 50th minute to give Rollins a little insurance. Dominic Adomakoh (52') and Liam Luke (83') added goals for the Tars.

Trautmann tuned aside five shots on frame. Iwan Roberts tallied five saves for the Saints.

Three different Flagler players took two shots.

Rollins out-shot Flagler 23-10 and had a 10-4 spread in corner kicks. A total of 29 fouls were whistled and Rollins was accountable for 19 of those fouls.

Flagler will remain on the road as it goes to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Wednesday (Oct. 18) at 7 p.m. at Daytona Beach, Florida.
