Flagler men remain at No. 5 in region poll

NEW ORLEANS – The Flagler College men's cross country team held at No. 5 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region ranking which was released Tuesday (Sept. 27).

Flagler is one of six PBC teams ranked in the top 10. Augusta University is still just ahead of Flagler at No. 4. The University of Montevallo and UNC Pembroke follow at Nos. 6 and 7. Columbus State University and Young Harris College complete the top 10.

The University of Mount Olive is the top ranked team in the region for the second consecutive week.

The Saints finished in third place at the Mountain Dew Invitational last Saturday. Flagler was led by Erik Hartley who finished in 10th place with an 8K time of 26:45.56.

Flagler is idle until Oct. 8 when it competes in the NCAA Division II Pre-National race at Saint Leo, Florida.
