ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College dropped its first Peach Belt Conference opener to Young Harris College 2-0 on Saturday night at Saints Field.
The Saints fell to 0-4-1 on the year and the Mountain Lions improved to 2-3-0.
The Mountains Lions' sustained offensive attack was too much for the Saints as Flagler committed 23 fouls and picked up two red cards to 11 fouls for Young Harris.
Mikie Rowe scored his second goal of the season for the Mountain Lions giving them a 1-0 edge in the 25
th minute. Marco Micaletto netted his first of the year in the 55
th minute, doubling the lead. Micaletto won a challenge from outside the box and took it in himself for before slipping it past
Lex Craggs.
Craggs made seven saves in the game, including four in the early stages of the first half thwarting the Young Harris pressure. Craggs fell to 0-3-1 while Anton Viden improved to 2-3-0.
The Mountain Lions outshot the Saints 18-1.
Cameron Silbar took the lone shot for Flagler.
The Saints will head to Greenwood, South Carolina to take on Lander University on Thursday (Sept. 22) at 7:30 P.M.
