MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo used a 14-2 run midway through the second half to pull away and defeat Flagler College 98-87 in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Trustmark Arena.
Montevallo improved to 17-8 overall and 13-5 in the Peach Belt. Flagler fell to 8-19 overall and 3-15 in conference play.

Matt Clark 3-pointer with 10:26 left in the game helped rally Flagler from a 13-point deficit to just six (64-58), but Montevallo would go on a 14-2 tear to pull away. Terrell Lipkins helped ignite the run with a pair of 3-pointers.
Bryan Orange finished with a game-high 29 points with the help of 10 of 13 shooting from the field for the Falcons. He also dished out nine assists and grabbed eight rebounds. Lipkins poured in 28 points as he sank six 3-pointers. Tevin Worthy added 16 points while Talan Whitaker grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Falcons shot a sizzling 75.95 (22-29) in the second half alone as they scored 61 points.
Nick Grier paced five Saints in double figure scoring with 18 points. Clark added 16 points and five assists while
Vaughn McCall tacked on 16 points.
Keith Gray tallied 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds while
Kessler Bell chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.
The Saints made 14 3-pointers, 10 of which came in the second half alone.
Flagler closes out its season on Wednesday (Feb. 24) at Armstrong State University at 7:30 p.m.
