Raisa Montilla of the dance team was selected as the Diamond in the Rough for the month of January, sponsored by Nettles Fine Jewelry.

"Raisa is our dance team captain and by far one of the most ambitious and hard working students I've come across," said head dance coach Sarah Gallo.  "When Raisa joined the team in the 2012-2013 season she did not have much formal dance training but through perseverance and true application of herself, I've seen her become one of the strongest dancers on the team.  Not only is she a strong athlete on the court but she's also an excellent student, a kind and generous friend to all, and someone I'm very proud to call my captain.  I know Raisa will continue to bring joy to many throughout her time at Flagler."
