Dennis Diaz led three Flagler College players in double figures with 13 points in a 75-61 exhibition loss at the University of South Florida Friday night at the Sun Dome.
For USF, tonight's game was its season opener.
Diaz was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line tonight for the Saints.
De'Aires Tate recorded another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Desmond Gibson added nine points and 10 rebounds while
Lydell Manigo supplied 10 points.
Chris Perry came off the bench for the Bulls to lead all scorers with 18 points. He added seven rebounds. Nehemias Morillo added 13 points and 10 boards while Corey Allen, Jr. tacked on 10 points.
USF, a member of the American Athletic Conference, shot 51.5% from the field in the first half and took a 45-27 lead into the break.
Flagler opens the season on Friday, Nov. 21 against Clearwater Christian College at 5 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
