ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 9 (NAIA) Lindsey Wilson College scored an early goal and held off Flagler College despite being down a man for the last three-plus minutes to come away with a 1-0 win in a non-conference men's soccer game Wednesday night at Saints Field.
Lindsey Wilson extended its winning streak to four matches and improved to 9-2-1. Flagler lost its fourth in a row and dips to 5-7-1.
Tom Moody was on a short run down the left side of the perimeter of the 18-yard box and drew the defense. He lobbed a pass into the box to a wide open Anthony Tshimpi right in front of the goal who put the ball away in the 10
th minute.
Just about 10 minutes later, Flagler had a great shot at an equalizer, but it was waved off due to an offsides call.
Tyler Zulewski threaded a pass from 25 yards out to the left post where a streaking
Shane Butler deposited the shot, but Butler was called for being offside.

Tanner Hall's header on the back post hit the post and the Saints were denied once again.
Dalyan Hawes recorded four saves for the Blue Raiders and he notched his fifth shutout of the season.
Joey LaSala recorded one saves in his first start for the Saints.
Nevio Golos came in to play in the second half and tallied three more saves.
Flagler steps back into Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday (Oct. 18) at Lander University at 3:30 p.m.
