POOLER, Ga. – The Flagler College women's golf team finished in third place at the 13-team, 36-hole Armstrong Pirate Women's Invitational which concluded Tuesday (Mar. 5) afternoon at the Savannah Quarters Country Course (par: 72; 5,914 yards). Flagler, ranked No. 20 in the country by the WGCA, shot a 625 and finished 18 shots back.

The host school, No. 22 Armstrong Atlantic State University led the entire tournament and posted a 607. They finished eight strokes ahead of Lander University.

Teresa Caballer Hernani shot a tournament-best 69 in the final round to claim medalist honors with a 1-over par 145. She won by a stroke over Armstrong's Jenna Birch and SCAD Savannah's Alazne Urizar. Both shot 2-over 146. 

The Saints have two golfers in the top 10 – Stephanie Tucker and Marie Santacroce. Tucker shot a 75 in the final round to finish with an overall 9-over 153 and finished in seventh place. Marie Santacroce shaved four strokes off of her first round total and closed with a 76. Her two round score was a 12-over 156 which was good for a 10th place finish. Olivia Ferrer finished in a tie for 11th place with a 13-over 157. Megan McCracken followed in 18th place with a 15-over 159. Nicole Keyser rounded out the field for the Saints with a 26-over 170 and tied for 37th place.

Flagler will head to Daytona Beach to play in the SMSU Spring Invitational Mar. 14-15 at LPGA International.
