Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – North Georgia College & State University upset No. 11 (Campbell's/ITA Division II) Flagler College 5-4 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Saturday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center. 

North Georgia won its seventh match in a row and improved to 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler lost its second consecutive match and fell to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in conference action.

The tandem of Gino Ramirez (Pembroke Pines, Fla., Dr. Michael Krop HS) and Jose Martinez (Houston, Texas, Alpha Omega Academy) earned Flagler's lone point in double play with an 8-5 win over Felipe Friedrich and Mateus Camasmie at No. 1. Peter Coulis (Bradenton, Fla., Edison Academic Center) and Uriel Oquendo (Miramar, Fla., Broward Virtual School) lost a hard-fought match at No. 2 to Rodrigo Magan and Mathew Guida 9-8 (7-2).

Both Martinez and Adam Hunt won in straight sets in singles play. Martinez defeated Friedrich 6-1 and 6-4 at No. 1 while Hunt rolled to a 6-4 and 6-0 win over Magan at No. 3. Inigo Landaluce took out Guida in three sets winning 6-7 (3-7), 6-3 and 6-3. However, the match swung on the result at No. 2 singles where Camasmie defeated Ramirez 3-6, 6-4 and 7-6 (7-2).  

Flagler will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 7) against No. 4 Concordia College of New York at 2:30 p.m.
