Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 9 (Campbell's/ITA Division II Top 25) Columbus State University defeated No. 11 Flagler College 7-2 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Sunday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center. 

Columbus State raised its record to 11-1 overall and 2-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler fell to 5-6 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Flagler took a point in doubles play when Peter Coulis (Bradenton, Fla., Edison Academic Center) and Gino Ramirez (Pembroke Pines, Fla., Dr. Michael Krop HS) teamed to beat Adi Malicbegovic and Michael Trebuhov 8-4.

Jose Martinez (Houston, Texas, Alpha Omega Academy) knocked off No. 25 Olivier Simonet 7-6 (7-5) and 6-4 at No. 1 singles. The Cougars won the rest of the singles matches in straight sets.  

Flagler will be back in action on Tuesday (Mar. 13) against Army at 10 a.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
