Box Score AMERICUS, Ga. – No. 11 (Campbell's/ITA Division II) Flagler College rolled to an 8-1 win over Georgia Southwestern State University in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Friday afternoon at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex. 

Flagler snapped its three-match losing streak and improved to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the Peach Belt. Georgia Southwestern fell to 3-7 overall and 0-4 in conference action.

Flagler opened by winning two of the three doubles matches. Jose Martinez (Houston, Texas, Alpha Omega Academy) and Stephan Stolz (Radstadt, Austria, MPG. St. Rupert) cruised to an 8-2 win over Yvan Ruelle and Valentin Demande at No. 1. Uriel Oquendo (Miramar, Fla., Broward Virtual School) and Inigo Landaluce teamed to defeat Ryan Bartz and Joseph Bjerregaard at No. 2, 8-1.

Flagler won all six singles matches. Martinez bested Stephen Moore in three sets 6-4, 4-6 and 6-3 at No. 1. Gino Ramirez (Pembroke Pines, Fla., Dr. Michael Krop HS) also went to three sets and defeated Bjerregaard 2-6, 6-3 and 6-4 at No. 2. Lamndaluce downed Ruelle 6-3, 2-6 and 6-0 at No. 3. Adam Hunt (Woking, England, Mercer University) was pushed to three sets, but out-lasted Bartz 6-3, 1-6 and 6-1.

Flagler hosts No. 9 Columbus State on Sunday (Mar. 11) at 1 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center in a Peach Belt Conference match.
