ANDERSON, S.C. – Flagler College and Anderson University played 110 minutes but neither team could find the back of the net in a scoreless draw in a non-conference men's soccer match Monday (Oct. 15) afternoon at Trojan Stadium.
Flagler is now 8-2-3 overall and Anderson moves to 3-8-3 on the season.
The Saints actually took a 1-0 lead with a little over three minutes remaining as they scored a goal off
Gustavo Deseda's corner kick, but were whistled for being offside. Flagler suffered 10 offside infractions during the match.
Camp Bissell never saw a shot on goal for the Saints while his counterpart, Lukas Hesse, tallied four saves for the Trojans. Bissell recorded his fourth shutout of the year while Hesse earned his third shutout.
Flagler out-shot Anderson 11-5 and held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Flagler wraps-up its Peach Belt Conference slate at home on Saturday (Oct. 20) against North Georgia College & State University at 7:30 p.m. at Saints Field.
