MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – 14th-ranked Barry University defeated Flagler College 9-0 in a non-conference women's tennis match Saturday afternoon at the Buccaneer Tennis Center. Barry improved to 10-3 while Flagler dropped to 6-7.

Barry swept all three doubles matches. Ildiko Csordas and Caroline Stevens defeated Fernanda Ospina and Roxane Alt 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Helen Wisniewski and Angie Werschel held off Chelsea Maratta and Chelsea Taylor 8-5. Berit Peterson and Olivia Lilien also had a tough match downing Deon Miller and Gabriela Ospina 8-5.

The Bucs won all the singles matches in straight sets. Lilien defeated Maratta at No. 5 singles 6-2, 7-5 while Laime Contreras edged Gabriela Ospina 7-5, 6-2.

Flagler hosts the University of Rhode Island on Monday (Mar. 17) at 2:30 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
