Hannah Smith of the softball team was selected as Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 4.

The Palmetto, Georgia native batted .556 as she went 5-for-9 with one run batted in, and she scored two runs as Flagler posted a 2-1 record last week. Smith finished with an .556 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. In the second game of the doubleheader against Georgia Southwestern, she collected a pair of singles, scored one run, and drove in one run for an 6-1 win. In game one she went 2-for-3 with another pair of singles.
