Rahdir Hicks of the men's basketball team was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express for the month of January.

Hicks was selected as the athlete of the week on Jan. 12 and Feb. 2.

(from the Jan. 12 release) The Catesville, Pennsylvania native averaged 11.3 points and 3.3 assists per game to help Flagler post a 2-1 record to start the new calendar year. He made 51.9 percent (14-27) of his shots from the field. Hicks came off the bench to score 17 points and dish out four assists in Flagler 77-73 overtime win over No. 6 University of North Georgia on Jan. 3. He added 13 points and three assists in an overtime loss at USC Beaufort.

(from the Feb. 2 release) The Catesville, Pennsylvania native averaged 13.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last week as Flagler posted a 2-0 record. He scored nine points, grabbed seven rebounds, and tallied four assists in a 72-70 double overtime win over Georgia Southwestern. His 3-pointer with 2.6 seconds left in the second overtime won the game for the Saints. Hicks added 17 points and four rebounds in a 67-61 win over Columbus State.
