Rahdir Hicks of the men’s basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 11.

The Catesville, Pennsylvania native averaged 11.3 points and 3.3 assists per game to help Flagler post a 2-1 record to start the new calendar year. He made 51.9 percent (14-27) of his shots from the field. Hicks came off the bench to score 17 points and dish out four assists in Flagler 77-73 overtime win over No. 6 University of North Georgia on Jan. 3. He added 13 points and three assists in an overtime loss at USC Beaufort.

Hicks is averaging 9.6 points and 2.9 assists per game this season.
