Taylor Stone of the women’s cross country team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Nov. 10.

The Largo, Florida native finished first at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship in Individuals with a time of 21:04.5, the fastest time for any Flagler runner in the history of the regionals, with an average mile time of 5:39.1. Stone’s victory was the first time a Flagler runner won the individual championship at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.

Her time helped the Saints finish second in the team championship.
