Clare Sheedy of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 8.

The Plymouth, Indiana native led the Saints with 95 assists (8.64/set), had 23 digs (2.09/set), and seven total blocks (0.64/set) at the Bahama House Classic at Daytona Beach, Florida. In a hard-fought 3-2 loss at Embry-Riddle, Sheedy just missed a double-double with 34 assists and nine digs. She also tacked on three total blocks. She finished with 30 assists and nine digs in a sweep of UNC Pembroke and tallied 31 assists in the season opener against Georgian Court University.
