Abby Misch of the women’s track and field team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 28.
 
Misch earned a first place finish in the 800-meter at the Florida Collegiate Invitational with a time of 2:13.36. The Orlando, Florida native beat the 30-runner field by three seconds and hit the NCAA provisional mark. Her time leads the conference and region, as well as ranking 21st in the nation. Misch also ran in the third leg of the distance medley relay, helping the Saints finish first with a time of 11:55.77. The relay time also hit an NCAA provisional mark, ranking eighth in the nation, and tops the conference and region. 

The Saints head back to the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe for the Celebration Pointe Indoor Classic on Feb. 2-3.
