Malik Bryant of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 14.

Bryant led Flagler in scoring with a 23.5 points per game average as the Saints split their two games last week. The Fort Mill, South Carolina native averaged 6.0 rebounds per game and shot a blistering 60.7 percent from the field. Bryant also made 53.8 percent of his shots from behind the arc. He scored 21 points in a 97-95 loss at USC Aiken and then deposited a game-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including sinking 6-of-9 from long range in an 80-69 win over Georgia College.

Bryant is fourth in the PBC in scoring (16.8 ppg), fifth in field goal percentage (59.0), and sixth in assists per game (3.3).

Flagler hosts Augusta University tomorrow night (Jan. 17) at Flagler Gymnasium.
