Amber Schulz of the women's cross country team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 22.

Schulz, competing in just her second race of the fall, topped the 85-woman field at the Peach Belt Conference Championship with a 5K time of 17:32.9. The Orlando, Florida native beat the recently crown PBC Runner of the Year by a hair under nine seconds. Schulz is the four Flagler women's runner to win the individual title at the PBCs.
