Andrea Fernandez of the women's soccer team was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express for the month of September.
 
Fernandez was selected as the athlete of the week ending Oct. 1.

(From the Oct. 2 release) Fernandez scored a goal and tallied an assists in No. 11 Flagler's 4-0 win over Georgia College & State University last Saturday. The Pozoblanco. Spain native's  goal in the 28th minute broke the program's all-time goals scored record. Fernandez has scored 45 career goals. 

Fernandez leads the team with eight goals and 18 points this season.
