Paige Churchill of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 3.

Churchill scored two goals and tallied three assists to help No. 15 (United Soccer Coaches Division II) Flagler College to a 2-0 week. The freshman from Tallahassee, Florida scored a pair of goals and added two assists in a 4-1 win over Anderson University last Saturday. Her first collegiate goal came in the 24th minute and gave the Saints an early 1-0 lead. Churchill assisted on the next two goals, which happened within two-plus minutes of each other. She scored the last goal of the match in the 58th minute. Churchill assisted on the first goal of the season for Flagler, which happened in the third minute of the match at Limestone University.

Churchill leads the Peach Belt Conference in assists per game (1.5) and is third in goals per game (1.0) and points per game (3.5).
